HOT PROSPECTS TO WATCH!

FALL 2006

MAX KARPEL

Max Karpel, 21, a former scholarship football athlete and Letterman Center at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is as disciplined as they come.  Due to knee injuries sustained during his 9 years of playing football, he retired from the program following an excellent performance at the 2006 Spring Game at MSU.

Classified as a super-heavyweight, (over 201 pounds), he is 6'3", weighs in at 232 and is as agile as they come.  Karpel's hand speed in the Gym is exceptionally quick for a man of his size and the power he delivers in a punch will end a fight in a heartbeat.

BRENTON HUTTON

Brenton Hutton, 11 and an honor student at Burkeville Elementary, is a tough as they come.  This athlete has lost considerable weight during the past several months as he works hard in the gym and steadily perfects his boxing fundamentals and unique style.

Hutton is strong, fearless and fast.  He can end an opponent's chance for victory with a couple of well placed shots.  Brenton's power and strength surpasses most pre-teens and he uses his abilities well.  He never questions instructions from his Coaches and pushes himself in training to reach his goal of sweeping his weight and age division in the Southeast Texas Golden Gloves Tournament in January.  As he continues to mature, Brenton will surely dominate the light-heavyweight class in months to come.

HUNTER FLANIGAN

Hunter Flanigan, 9, is a determined, strong and smart athlete.  He has been with the Gym since the Fall and is making remarkable progress.  Flanigan follows instructions well and never cuts corners in his personal workout routine.  The youngest of a family with 4 academically successful athletes, Hunter is following his personal path to be a respected competitor in the amateur boxing arena.  Keep your eyes on this young man as he prepares for his first fight in the Southeast Texas Regional Golden Gloves Tournament!
