HOT PROSPECTS TO
WATCH!
SPRING 2010
WESTON
SAULSBURY
Weston, 11, is a 5th
grade student at Kirbyville Middle School. He has been involved in
sports his entire life and is extremely competitive. He is advancing
his basic skills faster than most we have had in the Club during the past 5
years.
He has impressed the Coaches with his unbelievable natural talent and desire
to learn all aspects of our sport. "Weston concentrates on maintaining
proper form and style during his workouts. He is one of the few
students of this tough sport that listens well and executes his punches with
total commitment to excellence", Coach Karpel commented.
We look forward to his first bout in March and no doubt he will prove to be
a champion.
SAVANAH TYSON
Savanah Tyson is an 13 year old 7th
grade student at Newton Middle School. She rarely misses a practice
and her work ethics are a benchmark for other youth athletes at the Club.
Weighing
in at 113 pounds, her hand speed, exceptional practice habits and ability to
listen to and apply instruction from her coaches will enable her to rise
quickly in the sport.
She prepared with outstanding dedication for Police Athletic League
National Championship Tournament in October and was awarded the National
Championship belt in her weight and age bracket.
Savanah earned the Silver Medal during the 2010 Southeast Texas Golden
Gloves Tournament in Houston.
TY EDDINS
Ty is a 14 year old 8th
grade student at Silsbee Middle School and is as dedicated as they come.
Extremely athletic, Ty has proven his dedication and abilities with his
Little League pitching skills and plans to concentrate on excelling in
boxing as he has in baseball. This dual-sport athlete will be a winner
in both sports judging by his intensity and desire to be the best.
His slender but muscular build and uncommon height for a 14 year old will
give him the advantage during his upcoming bouts. Ty's jab, balance
and endurance will be a tough obstacle to beat for future opponents.
RAWDON
SAULSBURY
Rawdon is a 17 year old High School
graduate who has always been athletic and willing to accept physical
challenges. He is physically tough and wants to be a champion in
amateur boxing. Weighing in at 132, his speed and agility will be a
tremendous asset in this competitive weight class.
When out of the gym, Rawdon makes is living as a ferrier, a tough job that
requires patience, strength and skill when shoeing horses. He brings
those attributes to the Gym everyday. Rawdon accepts instructions well
and he uses his strength and dedication during at every work station and
ring skills training.
"Rawdon is a quiet guy who listens and accepts instructions well and has
excellent work habits. He is the kinda boxer that can go far in this
sport", Coach Treme stated.
Rawdon will have his first bout in March and it will be a good one!
