RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

Evan Karr, grandson of Paul and Charlene Hughes, shows some natural talent for the bag!  Although he is only 3, he can pack a punch!  We look forward to training him in 5 years.  Keep it up Evan!

Evan's older brother, Brennan, pops the bag with a left that gets it moving well.  Son of Jody and Landa Karr, he too will excel in athletics and academics in the Newton School system.

Our Miss Newton royalty was present for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and enjoyed the sparring and Rocky music playing in the background.  We appreciate your support too!

Icons in coaching Texas high school football , Lidney Thompson (blue jumpsuit) and Curtis Barbay (purple hat) watch as the sparring progresses.  Coach Thompson coached the Newton Eagles to a State Championship in 1974.  Coach Barbay lead the Newton Eagles to a State Championship in 1998 and 2005!  They still work together at Newton High School.

Grandpa Paul Hughes, a boxer in his own day, shows grandson Evan Karr a move or two.
